and has been living in Buenos Aires since 2007. He studied film production and photography at the Martín A. Malharro School of Visual Arts from 1996 to 2001. He continued his education by participating in scholarships sponsored by the Antorchas Foundation (2000-2002) and the National Fund for the Arts (2017). In 2019, he received the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. He participated in the Open Session Program at the Drawing Center in New York in 2015 and The Fountainhead Residency in Miami in 2014. He co-founded MOTP, an exhibition space that operated in Mar del Plata from 2001 to 2006. During this time, more than 30 exhibitions were held, and he managed projects in Buenos Aires and Rosario, as well as workshops, concerts, and visual research meetings. In 2013, he created TBF Project, a fusion of experimental music, imagery, and video, together with Nicolás Vázquez. In 2017, Mariano Benavente joined the project. Over the past ten years, he has presented his work individually and participated in numerous group exhibitions in galleries and institutional spaces in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, England, Belgium, Hungary, Spain, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, and the United States. He received the Second Prize for Drawing at the National Salon of Visual Arts in Buenos Aires (2018), the Second Prize from the Federico Jorge Klemm Foundation in Buenos Aires (2016), and the First Mention at the National Salon of Rosario, Juan B. Castagnino Museum, Rosario (2012), among other distinctions. His work can be found in important public and private collections in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Notable collections include the Phoenix Art Museum, the Cleveland Clinic in Cincinnati, the Related Group/Pérez Collection in Miami, and the Deutsche Bank Collection in New York, USA, as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rosario, the Federico Jorge Klemm Foundation, the National Fund for the Arts, the Supervielle Bank Foundation, and the Banco Nación Foundation in Argentina. He has been featured in publications such as "Poéticas contemporáneas. Itinerarios en las artes visuales en la Argentina de los 90 al 2010" (National Fund for the Arts, 2011), "Trascendencia y descendencia, Colección Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat" (2013), and "Últimas tendencias 2, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires" (2012), among others. Whether covered by the dark patina of iron oxide, or playing with the light that steel reflects, her works open up the abstract to the representation of the invisible and radiate a cosmic meaning to the surrounding space. Lydia Azout (b. Bogota, Colombia) studied at the Taller de David Manzur in Bogota from 1970 to 1974. Later she continued her studies with Luis Camnitzer in city of Lucca (Italy) during 1981 then in 1988 she took workshops at the Institute of Marble and Art in Pietrasanta (Italy). Individually she has been exhibiting since 1978 in major galleries, museums and biennialsaround the world, such as the Museum of Modern Art in Bogota and in Cali, The Alejandro Otero Museum of Caracas, Venezuela, Frost Art Museum, Miami. Her work is in the permanent collections of museums in Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, USA and in numerous private collections worldwide. His high clean and regular forms are contrasted by the use of hard and rustic materials as supports or by extremely figurative scenes displayed as a background. Applied with oil stick, the areas of solid and plain colors are reminiscent of geometric abstraction painters. Contrary to the artistic missions embraced by these mid-twentieth century artists –the quest for an autonomous language– Cabieses’s practice is grounded in the contradiction between the optic and haptic dimensions. This is the contradiction upon which his work stands and from which it acquires the power that has made him renowned all around Latin America. Jorges Cabieses (b. 1971, Lima, Perú) has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Cuba, Peru, Chile, Czech Republic, Germany, Costa Rica, Spain. In 2011 he was selected for the Cisneros Foundation Fellowship. In a career spanning more than three decades, Cambre’s thoroughly innovative oeuvre&nbsp;has drawn upon painting traditions and genres, such as portraits and still lives moving later to a distinctive style based on coloring experimentations. As an architect, he began his career assisting to Felipe Noe´s workshop in the seventies and started exhibiting his paintings mainly in the 1980s. His work was a key element to read the “return of painting” produced during that decade as his further work is indispensable to understand the direction taken by painters from then on. Throughout his career, Cambre has never deviated from his personal vision based on formal and chromatic interests, processed in a frame of mind that seems to be modelled not by pictorial concerns but by a poetic horizon. This sensibility has allowed him to fuse a contemporary conception of art with classical and elegant execution. Juan José Cambre (b. 1948, Ramos Mejía, Argentina) stands as a living milestone in Argentine artistic scene. Among his most outstanding solo exhibitions are Mano de obra, Colección Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat,&nbsp;2017; Desde el paisaje, Museo Caraffa, Ciudad de&nbsp;Córdoba and Museo Castagnino-MACRO, Rosario, 2014; Cromática, MACBA, 2013; Novum Ovum,Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, 2012. His work was exhibited internationally in Milán, San José de Puerto Rico, and New York. Cambre’s first major retrospective was held at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in 2008, following the presentation of&nbsp;a book about his artistic career to date. In 2016, he was included in the selection of artists of the book&nbsp;Vitamin P3, by Phaidon. At the beginning of his career he adopted color as an essential component of his work. &nbsp;First with monochromatic pieces he explored the power of sensation. He discarded the expressive resources of chiaroscuro and the halftones in order to address a conceptual and space-anchored conception of painting. His ideas spring from the artist’s intellectual and sensitive interest in the specificity of visual language. This not only led him to dismiss figurative approaches and instead focus on abstraction as a proper grammar for this research, but also it introduced him to the world of volume, relief and medium, that is, installation. “Noción” has become a nomadic life-project where all his interests merge. Delving into formal aspects, the outcome tends to stress the relation between the piece and its immediate context, which has taken his work from indoor shows to open-air exhibitions. By this, Capilla succeeds in transforming these private and formal concerns into a public and collective experience. Eduardo Capilla´s (b. 1960, Mar del Plata, Argentina) work has been displayed both in several galleries and museums, as well as in public places around the world since 1977 to the present. Primarily based on his drawing skills as a key to his creative process, he also makes painted ceramics, installations, paintings, and murals. The challenge in his ouvres to capture symbolic elements in myths, local stories and in national history or natural environments in order to exploit their potential to generate new identities from old images. “Ruins” are a leitmotif across his work. The essence of this approach is to show subjects in new and revelatory ways, and in doing so to heighten their physical and emotional resonance. This is why Castro is so interested in the power of rituals and mural as they produce a space for commonality and utopia for art experience. Marcos Castro (b. 1981, Mexico City, Mexico) studied Visual Arts at the “La Esmeralda” National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving in Mexico City. He has held various solo exhibitions both in Mexico and abroad, including: So it will be the past, Dot Fiftyone Gallery, Miami (2020); Tomorrow, ashes, Machete Gallery (2019), El Color del Sur, Machete Gallery, Mexico City (2017); Necessary Objects, Dot Fiftyone Gallery, Miami (2014); Future Ruins, Luis Adelantado Gallery, Mexico City (2013); Black Storms, El Clauselito, Museum of Mexico City, Mexico City (2012); Bestial Number, Museo Ex Teresa Arte Actual, Mexico City (2012); among other. &nbsp;Among his group exhibitions include: OTRXS MUNDXS, Museo Tamayo, Mexico City (2020), Estudio de Trazo, Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City (2014); Panoramic, Palace of Fine Arts, Mexico City (2013); Mystic Route, Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey, Monterrey (2013); History of A, Amparo Museum, Puebla, Mexico (2011). He has twice received the Young Creators scholarship from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) in 2007 and 2014. He completed the Dedazo residence in 2018, located in the Ejido Felipe Carrillo Puerto in Chiapas, Mexico; in 2014 he was chosen to be part of the Omi residence in New York; in 2008 he participated in the 18th Street Arts Center in Los Angeles, USA; and completed the Skowhegan, Maine, USA residency in 2016. His eclectic and radical approach to painting can be best summarized as a belief in the power of art as an autonomous way for philosophical thinking. For Cédola, a painting does not need to be “explained” or “translated” into other language, as it constitutes a language on its own and, for this, a great tool to explore and invent new concepts. Everything –form, color, subject, framing– undergoes, inherent to the act of painting, a process of transformation. Although his oeuvre varies greatly in style and materials, in Cedolas’s hands, all oppositions tend to be dismantled. His work can be construed as an ongoing exploration into the way conventional dichotomies are forced into a conflictive coexistence. Since 2004, Hernán Cédola´s (b. 1977, La Plata, Argentina) work has received a great critical welcoming. He has participated in individual and collective exhibitions in Argentina, Germany, the United&nbsp;States, Bolivia, Italy and Mexico. art, design, spiritualism, architecture, and religious symbolism in an eccentric and unique way. Friedeberg has had more than 80 solo exhibitions and has participated in hundreds of group shows and projects. His first exhibition was in 1959 at the Diana Gallery thanks to the support of artists Remedios Varo and Mathias Goeritz Since then, he received international recognition with the creation of the “Hand of Akhenaten”, better known as “Hand-chair”. He has been recognized with the Medal of Fine Arts in Mexico in 2012. With his distinctive interest in baroque architecture and invented palaces, Pedro Friedeberg is considered the most important surrealist Mexican painter alive. He belongs to a group of 20th century surrealist artists in Mexico that include Gunther Gerzso, Mathias Goeritz, Alice Rahon, Kati Horna, Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo and Paul Antra. Pedro Friedeberg’s (b. Florence, Italy, 1936) works are part of permanent collections of MoMA, New York; the Musée du Louvre in Paris; Museo de Arte Moderno, the José Luis Cuevas Museum; the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago; the Museum of Contemporary Art in New Orleans; the Library of Congress in Washington DC; the Rose Art Museum of Brandeis University in Boston; the National Research Library in Ottawa; the Israel Museum in Jerusalem; the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad; the Ponce Museum of Art in Puerto Rico; the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.; The Museum of Arts and Design in New York; among others.&nbsp; He lives and works in Mexico City.
