Dot Fiftyone Gallery is pleased to present Transited Roads,the premier exhibition in Miami of Dusseldorf and Buenos Aires based artists, Martín Mele and Celina Jure.

"Transited roads", raises shared paths, of painting and object, color and form, of history and of the abstract. It raises each artist’s individual point of views, and also theirs similar paths. Transited shared roads in life and in art. Celina Jure evokes "time" in a direct gesture without corrections, using color as spiritual vessel, evocative of musical rhythms. Summary of personal feelings, and at the same time, it strips color to nudity as color is seen. Martin Mele relates found objects with the sculptural potential that belongs to them. These objects become part of Mele’s life and recount his walk through the world and his history.


Martín Mele (b. 1960 in Buenos Aires, Argentina). He has studied at the Art Academy Arnheim, (Netherlands); the P. Pueyrredón National School of Fine Arts Buenos Aires, (Argentina) and from 1992 to 1997 at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, (Germany) with Markus Lüpertz. Along his career he has shown his works in Europe, Latin America and USA. Martin Mele has had exhibitions in several museums and art institutions such as: Museo Arte Contemporaneo Oaxaca, (Mexico); Museo Macro Rosario, (Argentina); Field Institute Raketenstation Hombroich, (Germany); Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes Neuquen (Argentina); Kulturforum Alte Post Neuss, (Germany); Lokal-int Biel, (Switzerland); Proa Foundation Buenos Aires, (Argentina) and the Baden Museum, Solingen (Germany). He Lives and works in Düsseldorf and Buenos Aires.


Celina Jure (b. 1963 in Jujuy, Argentina). Studied at the P. Pueyrredón National School of Fine Arts Buenos Aires, (Argentina); Ecole des Beaux Arts Nîmes, (France) and from 1992 to 1996 at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf (Germany) with Gotthard Graubner. She has shown her works in Europe, Latin America and USA. Celina Jure has had exhibitions in several museums and art institutions such as: Field Institute Raketenstation Hombroich, (Germany); Kulturforum Alte Post Neuss, (Germany); Lokal-int Biel, (Switzerland); Museo de Arte Contemporaneo Salta, (Argentina); Kunstverein Ravensburg e.V. (Germany) Sala Rivadavia, Cádiz (Spain); Proa Foundation Buenos Aires, (Argentina) and the Baden Museum, Solingen (Germany). She lives and works in Düsseldorf and Buenos Aires.
